New Dance Festival presents the show “Cosmos” in a free screening

As part of the New Dance Festival, the Swiss dance group Linga will present the show “Cosmos”, inspired by the eternal movement of the stars, on Saturday, November 27 in the auditorium of Peruvian North American Cultural Institute (ICPNA), through a free face-to-face video projection.

“Cosmos”, Linga’s new production, seeks a collective harmony, a world where bodies merge in the search for a new alloy and space, creating relationships so intense that emotions are shared, understood and felt by all, finding simultaneity in movements, the place for the maximum display of the senses.

This performance, which will be broadcast free of charge at the ICPNA thanks to the management of the Swiss Embassy, ​​the Swiss Cultural Fund and Novartis, is based on rotations, revolutions, conjunction of trajectories and geometries, in which the dancers invent new scenic orbits, carried for music composed for the piece and performed on stage by the French duo l’Ombre de la Bête.

Linga is a Swiss contemporary dance company with more than 20 years of experience, several international tours and with two performances in Peru. She is interested in group choreography and the art of creating on stage, with a group of performers, an organism capable of articulating and breaking down into flexible and fluid formations.

“Cosmos” is the fruit of the collaboration between Linga and the electrotraditional duo from Nantes (France), l’Ombre de la Bête, and it questions this world in search of a collective harmony, created with analog and electronic music.
