Luces 2021 Awards: this Sunday the nominees for the art, culture and entertainment award are announced

Next March it will be two years since the country was declared an emergency due to the pandemic of the Covid-19, a coronavirus that, so far, has claimed the lives of more than 200,000 Peruvians. And so battered by the pandemic, the arts, culture and entertainment industries resist and reinvent themselves. For them are the Lights Awards 2021.

For the filmmakers who dared to release their film at the most difficult moment. For restaurants, cafes and bars that had to adapt to the reduced capacity. For the bookstores that repowered their delivery service when it was most necessary. For plastic artists, who never stopped creating.

The Luces Awards, which are coming of age this year, recognize the most outstanding of culture in the categories of Television, Cinema, Gastronomy, Music, Visual Arts, Letters and Podcast / Digital Program. This last category, the newest of all, seeks to recognize content creators who disseminate their work on social networks.

For all these categories, those interested will be able to vote for their favorite nominees from Sunday, January 9 to Sunday, February 13.
