More than 1,600 people have joined to date in a petition to Change.org to change the venue of the concert Harry Styles in Peru from the Jockey Club to the National Stadium.

The petition, created by a user only identified as HSEN and addressed to the Ministry of Health, Live Nation, Artes Peru and Teleticket, seeks to increase the capacity for the show that the British artist has scheduled for next November 29 as part of his “Love on Tour” tour.

Only 16,000 tickets for the event went on sale on January 20 at 9 am, despite the fact that more than 60,000 people made a virtual queue on the Teleticket page in the hope of getting one of the coveted tickets.

What followed were hours of confusion and annoyance, while some users reported that when entering the page there was no ticket available to buy, others pointed out that it never loaded, causing annoyance among the fans of the former One Direction member who They turned to social media.

Gentlemen, we know that we are in a very difficult situation due to the situation, but we sincerely ask that you release more tickets and change it to the National Stadium, which is more spacious and can receive more people, obviously respecting the protocols.”, states the petition. “Children, youth and adults want to enjoy this event and be able to see the artist they have been following for years. Many of them were left with the illusion of being able to see it, but unfortunately they could not due to the small number of tickets and the little space that the Jockey offers. The National can accommodate 50 thousand people. With the protocols, they could enter between 30 to 40 thousand, which is a big difference with the 16 thousand of the Jockey”.

As of this writing, four and a half hours from the start of ticket sales, it has yet to be officially declared sold out. What can be confirmed is that it is no longer possible to enter the virtual queue to try to get one, a situation that has also been shared by dozens of people as stated on social networks.

El Comercio has tried to contact Artes Perú to inquire about the possibilities of expanding the capacity of the concert, but so far our questions have not been answered.
