“In our story, Pinocchio is an innocent soul with an uncaring father who gets lost in a world he can’t understand. He embarks on an extraordinary journey that leaves him with a deep understanding of his father and the real world. I’ve wanted to make this movie for as long as I can remember. After the incredible experience we’ve had with ‘Trollhunters,’ I’m grateful that the talented team at Netflix is giving me the opportunity of a lifetime to introduce audiences everywhere to my version of this strange puppet turned into a real boy.” Del Toro added.

In the Netflix preview, Sebastián J. Grillo (Ewan McGregor) appears, the cricket who will narrate the story. “I’m going to tell you a story, which you probably think you already know, but you don’t. Not really. (…) I was there and I lived, I really lived, in the heart of the wooden boy”, says the character as he walks straight towards a window and then jumps through it.

In addition, the musical will also feature the participation of David Bradley (Geppetto), Gregory Mann (Pinocchio) and other actors in supporting voices, such as Finn Wolfhard, John Turturro, Cate Blanchett, Tim Blake Nelson, Ron Perlman and Burn Gorman, among others. others.
