A medical teleconsultation booth installed on a student campus

Benefit from a medical consultation without leaving the campus, this is what you will soon be able to benefit from the students and the staff of the Open campus of Brest (Finistère). A teleconsultation cabin has just been installed and will be accessible on several slots during the week, reports France 3 Bretagne.

Autonomous in the cabin, patients can take their temperature or blood pressure on their own. Depending on the symptoms, the doctor, behind the screen, can provide a prescription. Everything will be fully covered by Social Security.

Loaned free of charge to the establishment

A godsend for students not originally from Brest, who are unable to quickly consult their doctor. Such a machine, usually rented for 3,000 euros per month, is made available to the school free of charge by a partner bank.

With the Covid-19 crisis, telemedicine is booming. It also makes it possible to fight against medical deserts.
