Rocamadour cheese recalled by Cora, Intermarché and Leclerc

Be careful if you have recently bought rocamadour in a supermarket or hypermarket. Several large retailers recalled two batches on Thursday for the risk of listeria, reports Capital.

The first batch consists of “Rocamadours AOP 105 g (3×35 g)” trays from the Fromagerie du Quercy brand. The barcode is 0003443520068063 and the expiration date (DLC) is 07/03/2022. The second batch concerns trays of 12 Rocamadours of the same brand, with barcode 0003443520068247 and whose expiry date is 03/09/2022.

Risk of salmonellosis

The targeted products were marketed at Intermarché, Cora and Leclerc throughout France between February 7 and 10. Cheese poses a risk of listeria and possible traces of salmonella, which causes salmonellosis. This disease can cause gastrointestinal upset, headaches and fever.

Those most at risk are pregnant women, children, the elderly and immunocompromised. Consumers who have purchased these cheeses are invited not to consume them and bring them back to the store to be reimbursed.
