The Covid-19 vaccination center in Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) will initially be the only one in the department to be authorized to inject Novavax. The decision was taken by the local regional health agency (ARS). The vaccine is the latest to be officially approved by the European Union. It uses a different technology than the products of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna.
Appointments from February 28
Anti-coronavirus injections should start no earlier than early March, says The Marne. Appointments at the Pays de Meaux Vaccination Center can be made online on the Doctolib platform or by telephone from February 28. Novavax can be given to anyone 12 years of age and older.
Three inoculations will be required. “With this new vaccine, we hope to convince people refractory to messenger RNA technology to get vaccinated,” explained Dr. Christian Allard, head of the vaccination center.
