After the scandal of Kinder chocolates contaminated with salmonella, Auchan proceeded to the recall, this Tuesday, of cakes decorated with chocolates of the brand. The decorative elements of the cake are likely to be affected by the Ferrero recall, indicates Rappel Conso, the site for dangerous product alerts.
“The layer cake, chocolate sponge cake with butter cream and spread is made in the pastry workshop. In the recipe, Kinder Chokobons and Kinder Surprise products are used to decorate the cake, ”says the Government website. These layer cakes, or layer cakes, were sold between January 1 and April 7. They have been marketed in several Auchan hypermarkets in the country, notably in Toulon, Perpignan, Tours, Melun, Macon and Montauban. The list of batches concerned is mentioned on the Rappel Conso website.

Symptoms to watch out for
It is recommended not to consume these cakes. People who have it in their refrigerator can throw it away or bring it back to the point of sale. They will be eligible for a refund.
Food poisoning caused by salmonella results in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhoea, vomiting) of sudden onset often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products. Young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised subjects and the elderly should be alert to these symptoms. If symptoms appear, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
