Vincennes pays tribute to its nursing staff after two years of struggle

A symbolic gesture after two years of pandemic. The City of Vincennes (Val-de-Marne) paid tribute this Thursday to the nursing staff and to all those who fought against the spread of Covid-19, reports Actu Val-de-Marne. This tribute was organized on April 7, World Health Day.

During a ceremony, the mayor of the city Charlotte Libert-Albanel thanked and praised the “self-sacrifice” of the nursing staff, paramedical professionals, associations, municipal services and elected officials. In short, all the people who have been “on the front line” facing the coronavirus epidemic in the country.

A medal was also awarded to Doctor Alain Assouline, who carried out and managed the anti-Covid vaccination center project between Vincennes and Saint-Mandé. Opened between January 14, 2021 and March 15, 2022, this center common to the two cities carried out no less than 215,000 vaccinations.
