‘He can’t stop’: Shortage of medications for attention disorders worries parents

Stefan’s concern shows in his voice on the phone. Her 15-year-old son is among the 6% of minors with attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADHD). He must take a Quasym capsule every morning to help him stay calm throughout the day and be able to continue his first year of professional CAP training. But he only has two weeks of supplies left. And his dad is afraid of the fateful moment when there is nothing left, the pharmacies around his house are empty.

The rest after this announcement

“My son cannot stop treatment overnight, which calms him down and allows him to concentrate. One morning he forgot about it and those around him found him euphoric, as if he was drunk,” says a forty-year-old man, a pastry chef from Aisne.
