Craving pasta? Discover how to cook some juicy red noodles with meat

One of the easiest dishes to prepare from the Peruvian recipe book is red noodles and if it is with ground meat, much better. Dew Oyanguren will teach you how to get the most out of this recipe to enjoy during the week.

Follow the steps:


  • 1/2 kilo of pasta of your choice
  • 1/2 kilo of ground meat
  • 1 large onion
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1/2 cup of peas
  • 2 tablespoons ground red pepper
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil


Peel the tomatoes, remove the seeds and blend them together with the peeled carrot and a splash of water. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and cumin. Booking. In a pot add a splash of oil and, once hot, add the diced onion with the bay leaves and let it brown for about three minutes. At this time add the red chili, which you could ignore, but the idea is to give the dressing a little color. Two minutes later add the seasoned meat and mix. Cover the pot and let it cook over low heat for about 5 minutes, always controlling. Add the tomato and carrot smoothie along with the peas. Taste the salt and cover the pot to cook for about 20 more minutes, until the liquid in the sauce has reduced a bit. Mix the sauce with the pasta of your choice. I suggest parboiling it al dente. Remember that the cooking time is on the back of the package. And when you parboil the pasta, do it with only 1/2 teaspoon of salt, no oil needed.
