My daughters love it and it’s super cool for summer! We like to prepare it together. It is perfect for breakfast or even as a mid-morning or afternoon snack. It is a good option for boys because it has the fiber that oats provide and the sweetness of bananas. The best thing is that it does not require added sugar. To this recipe you can add a tablespoon or two of peanut butter, cinnamon or cocoa, to give it different flavors, although this goodness is also like that.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 or 3 ripe silk bananas
- 1/2 cup traditional pre-cooked oats
- 10 drops of pure vanilla extract (or 1/2 teaspoon of essence)
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 10 medium ice cubes (approximately)
Preparation:
Cut the plantains roughly and place them in the blender, add the other ingredients and blend. Enjoy. For more simple recipes to share with the little ones in the house, follow me every Monday at Provecho.
My love,
colette
