Baires en La Mar: the event that brings together Peruvian and Argentine chefs in our capital

What do a good ceviche and a grill have in common? Both are somehow the flagship dishes of two countries recognized for their gastronomy: Peru and Argentina. To celebrate this bond of friendship that unites us, a group made up of six of the best Argentine chefs are in our country for the “Baires en La Mar” dinner, a meeting at the renowned Gastón Acurio restaurant.

“We are going to be with six of our best gastronomic representatives and the idea is that they will cook for more than 200 diners, including representatives of the gastronomy and tourism sector, to enjoy a special dinner,” he says. This effort started from the great bond of friendship between national and Argentine chefs, according to Gaston Acurio in a post on his Instagram profile. “There are countless signs of affection and brotherhood in which Buenos Aires chefs have welcomed us, with the shared dream that the Argentine grill and the Peruvian cebiches together, contribute to the dissemination and development of Latin American cuisines,” it reads. in the post.

“We have been doing a great job in what is gastronomic positioning in the city of Buenos Aires. Added to that, we believe that a great job is being done in Peru and Lima and we believe that what there should be is a joint effort”, adds Delfino.

This dinner will be celebrated with delicious cocktails, succulent appetizers such as choripan del mar or shell fugazzetta, as well as sweetbreads, milanesas, angus tenderloin and for dessert, a succulent pavlova. The wines will be in charge of Alejandro Vigil and Sebastián Zuccardi.

Among the chefs who will participate are Liber Acunaowner of El Pobre Luis Grill; Lele Cristobalowner of the famous restaurant Café San Juan, Juan Gaffurichef of restaurants such as Elena, PonyLine and El Secreto; mariano ramonfrom the Gran Dabbang restaurant and narda lepes chef owner of Lokanta and best female chef in Latin America in 2020 by 50 Best Restaurants. In the bar will be ines de los santosrenowned bartender and owner of Cochinchina and Kona, the latter restaurant next to Lepes.


The event, which is sold outwill be held this Friday, May 26, starting at 5 pm, in La Mar (Av. Mariscal La Mar 770, Miraflores).
