More than 40 renowned restaurants will be part of the new edition of the Gochisō Peru gastronomic and cultural festival, an event that seeks to celebrate and publicize Nikkei cuisine. Thus, attendees will be able to enjoy dishes such as chasu ramen, sashimi moriawase or a delicious okonomimeshi, among others. The appointment is on August 4, 5 and 6, at the AELU club in Pueblo Libre.

In this festival they seek to celebrate the broad and diverse nature of Nikkei cuisine, whose origin is in the homes of Japanese immigrants and their descendants.

The gastronomic proposal will be divided into 10 zones: embers and fires, contemporary nikkei, traditional nikkei, street food, marine nikkei, soups, sushi, bar, comfort food and desserts and infusions. Some of the best known restaurants that will participate are Doomo Saltado, Osaka, Shizen, Hanzo and Costanera 700.

Among the dishes that can be found is the butamiso al kamado, a delicious bacon with crispy skin, served with native potatoes and goma salad. We also find the okonomimeshi, a fried rice with chashu, tontaksu sauce and other delicacies. Inevitable is also the chashu ramena hearty soup made from pork, chicken and beef, served with artisanal noodles, nori seaweed, egg and vegetables.

There will also be an area with Japanese products that can be purchased, as well as a karaoke bar with cocktails and Japanese beers.

Throughout the festival you can enjoy cultural activities such as concerts, dance shows, kimono parade, cooking demonstration and talks.

The event is organized by the Nikkei Gastronomic Association (AGN), the Japanese Peruvian Association (APJ) and the La Unión Stadium Association (AELU), within the framework of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Peru and Japan.
