Saltado noodle: the best recipe to prepare this classic of the Peruvian menu

A rich skipped noodle, the recipe that adapts to any circumstance, it is ideal for cooking with whatever we find in our kitchen. Who says you can’t cook good food with just a few ingredients?

Follow the steps of this super-yielding recipe:

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams of noodle
  • 300 grams of chicken in cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon of kion grated
  • 1 onion in thick cubes
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 20 units of holantao diagonally
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Chinese onion, chopped

PREPARATION

Chop the vegetables and chop the chicken to a similar size. Season the chicken with salt and garnish with minced garlic and grated kion. Boil the noodles according to the directions on their packaging or until they are al dente. Drain and set aside. Bring a frying pan to high heat, heat a generous stream of oil and sauté the chicken cubes until golden brown. Remove and reserve. In the same pan, heat another jet of oil and sauté the chosen vegetables for 30 seconds. Pour in the soy sauce, the hoisin sauce, the vinegar and once it comes to a boil, return the chicken pieces and add the previously cooked noodles. Sauté, turn off the heat and serve, but first drizzle with sesame oil and chopped Chinese onion.
