Chilean gastronomy and more: this you will find at the Chilenidad Festival in Lima

September is the month in which Chili celebrates the declaration of its Independence. And that is why, with the support of the ambassador and the Consul General of Chile in Peru, the Fiesta de la Chilenidad will be held in Lima, an opportunity for the Chilean community in the country to celebrate at home and for us Peruvians to get to know more of the traditions of this neighboring republic.

Following a custom that dates back to the first independence celebrations in Chile, this event is inspired by inns, temporary establishments where typical food and drinks are served, and dancing to the rhythm of folk music.

The Chilenidad Festival has been held since 2022 in Lima. Here are some important information that you should keep in mind.

The event will take place on September 16 from 11:30 am in the Parque de las Aguas. Entry will be through door number 9.

In its second edition in Lima, the Fiesta de la Chilenidad has doubled the number of participating stands, going from 12 to 24, which will allow attendees to enjoy more variety.

The fair will offer dishes of Chilean gastronomy and typical Chilean products, including. Among them:

The cultural shows will be performed by Los Chasquis, a Peruvian-Chilean group specialized in Creole music.

In addition, the dance group “Marinera Sin Fronteras” will perform, made up of a Peruvian-Chilean couple.
