The 2023 list of The 50 Best Bars, the ranking that recognizes the best bars in the world, was recently revealed and highlighted some Peruvian establishments. Among them, Sastrería Martínez.
Diego Macedo’s bar located in Miraflores was among the three finalists in the “Best Design Awards 2023” award category, which recognized Night Hawk in Singapore with first place.
This is the first time in its 21-year history that the 50 Best Bars list has a category for design. The award was judged and filtered by a panel of experts in hotel design and bars from around the world on this date where the 3 finalists who were present at the gala were known.
“Sastreria Martínez has been created by a team of Peruvians who have worked on every detail and conceptualized 100% everything that is in our experience. From the façade and then the entrance to a space from the prohibition era, strengthening its concept as a ‘speakeasy’ that links perfectly with our liquid proposal. Without a doubt, being nominated alone fills us with happiness and enthusiasm to continue innovating,” commented Diego Macedo, creator and owner of Sastrería Martínez, in a press release sent to this editorial office after the winners were announced.
