This is Ron Andino, the new bet of the Don Michael Distillery

The family of premium distillates from the Peruvian distillery Don Michael is expanded with the launch of Andean Rum, a rum that seeks to conquer the most demanding palates.

This new rum has been made from the finest molasses, extracted from select Peruvian sugar cane, and after a fermentation process that involves five strains of yeast.

“The distillate is aged for at least five years in American white oak barrels that previously housed its already distinctive Black Whiskey. Produced in intimate batches of just ten barrels, each one is duly registered on the bottle label, offering connoisseurs the opportunity to collect and experience the evolution of the art of our distillation year after year,” the distillery explains in a note. press release about its launch.

The Don Michael distillery has achieved several international recognitions. The most famous of them was achieved in 2022, when in the annual New York World Spirits Competition 2022 they achieved first place in the Best Whiskey in the World competition.

Michael Kuryla, representative of Don Michael, highlighted the innovation behind Andean Rum and the company’s efforts.

“This 2023 has been an atypical and very complicated year not only for our industry, but for the country in general. Even so, premium distillates like those that make up our portfolio have been gaining followers. We set very high goals and thanks to the interest in our Peruvian distillates and liqueurs in markets such as the United States, Taiwan, Japan, Uruguay and Canada,” Kuryla explained.

“We launched Andean Rum with the certainty that it will break new ground in the young adult segment, which is looking for innovative drinks with a unique profile and easy to combine in cocktails for lighter and more friendly consumption.
