Stuffed cause: 3 versions of this summer entry that you can prepare at home

One of the recipes that most remind us of summer is the cause. Filled with vegetables, tuna, crab or chicken, this delicious preparation is perfect to start a menu on any day of the week.   • 6 cups cooked and pressed yellow potato
  • 4 tbsp ground yellow pepper
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, small cubed
  • 4 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado without skin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 6 tbsp. black olives in quarters
  • salt and pepper

Mix the hot pressed yellow potato and the yellow pepper in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Stir and knead. Add the lemon juice and oil, and continue kneading until the ingredients are integrated. Reserve. In another bowl, mix the chicken with the mayonnaise. Place half of the cause mass in a square pan 20 centimeters on a side. Arrange the silver plates and the chicken with mayonnaise on top. Top with the remaining cause masa, sprinkle with the chopped parsley and garnish with the olives. Serve.

Cause a la Lima


  • 6 large yellow potatoes
  • 6 tbsp. oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. ground chili pepper
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. ground mirasol chili
  • 1 onion to the fine feather
  • 1/2 tz. heat
  • juice of 3 lemons

Boil the yellow potatoes and peel them. Then pass them through the potato press and season with salt and four tablespoons of oil. In addition, heat the remaining oil in a pan and brown the peppers, onion and broth until all the liquid evaporates. Remove from heat and add the lemon juice. Mix with the potato and knead again. Separate part of the onion to put on the table when it is in the source. Garnish with fried sea bass, shrimp, fresh cheese, boiled eggs, corn slices, chunks of green chili, olives, sweet potatoes or peeled radishes. Serve.

Crab cause


  • 8 large yellow potatoes
  • 250 g fresh cheese
  • 16 botija olives
  • 1 tz. huancaine cream
  • 500 g crab pulp
  • Mayonnaise
  • 5 boiled eggs, sliced
  • 7 tomatoes without skin or seeds, chopped
  • 1 1/2 avocado tip
  • 8 tbsp vegetable oil
  • juice of 4 lemons
  • 3/4 cup yellow chili cream
  • shall
  • 3 cooked and shelled corn
  • lettuce leaves


Cook, peel and press the potatoes while they are still hot. Add salt, lemon and oil (in that order). When the dough is cold, add the chili. Knead and reserve. Arrange a part of the cause and spread it with mayonnaise. Place on top a flat of avocado, another of hard-boiled egg, another of crab pulp and finally, one of tomato. Sprinkle with salt. Finish up with another portion of cause. Unmold and decorate with the Huancaína cream, the olives, the fresh cheese, the cooked shelled corn and the lettuce.
