Emmanuel Macron announces this Friday that he is going to Annecy to visit the victims of the knife attack that took place the day before in a playground. The head of state condemned the “attack of absolute cowardice” and “A Nation in Shock” on Twitter, hours after the tragedy.
As a result of stab wounds, two adults and four young children were injured. Among the victims are a young Briton and a young Dutchman. The alleged assailant is Abdalmasih Kh., a 31-year-old homeless Syrian. His mental state, described as very calm and unknown to the authorities, leaves his motives a mystery.
