Covid vaccine “without side effects”: complaint against former health minister closed

The minister did not make any “false” remarks. A complaint filed against former Health Minister Aurélien Rousseau for his comments about the absence of side effects associated with Covid vaccinations has been closed by the Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR), a source close to the case told us on Thursday. .

On October 3, the day after the start of the new Covid vaccination campaign, Mr Rousseau said on France Inter: “We have a vaccine (for which) now, looking back, we know that we have no side effects. , and so you have to go for it.”

This was stated by Xavier Azalbert, owner of the France Soir website.

The minister insists and signs

This complaint, dated October 6 and signed by Professor Christian Perronne and Xavier Azalbert, was sent to the commission at the request of the CJR. Xavier Azalbert stood out with his very critical articles about the government’s handling of the pandemic and the dissemination of a large amount of false information on this issue.

Professor Perronne was fired from his position as head of the department of infectious and tropical diseases at the Raymond-Poincaré hospital in Garches (Haute-de-Seine) at the end of 2020 for a series of unsubstantiated comments about Covid and its care by doctors.

On October 8, the minister responded to this lawsuit: “Professor Perron and France Soir attack me in front of the CJR. Reason (if I understand correctly): Having said that Covid messenger RNA vaccines are safe and effective… What can I say? Except that mRNA vaccines are safe, effective, and necessary to protect the most vulnerable.”

After review, the complaint was closed with no further action, a source close to the matter said Thursday. The CJR is the only body empowered to prosecute and try members of the government for crimes committed in the exercise of their functions. Aurélien Rousseau announced his resignation from the Health Ministry on Wednesday in response to the passage of the immigration law.
