“We’re waiting a little”: in the campaign for the European Parliament elections, the majority is struggling to speed up

Emmanuel Macron closely followed Valerie Hayer’s first meeting on March 9 in Lille (North). The President was frankly not pleased with one detail, according to one of his followers. Although ministers and deputies were called for a general mobilization, only about fifty elected officials from the Bourbon Palace responded. “Many deputies refocused on their interests and began to position themselves less,” explains the Vozrozhdenie deputy. At the moment we are not involved in the campaign, we have only seen the head of the list once at a group meeting…”

The activists, according to a key figure in the campaign, nevertheless have “ants in their feet.” But the leaflets and posters still weren’t ready. Things should start moving on this issue this weekend. The first shipments should begin in the markets. The operation, called “Port Europe”, aims to distribute around 400,000 leaflets over two weekends. Emmanuel Macron will appear on the posters.
