The closed-faced Jeanne Bessentiel (LP) tried her best to hide her disappointment at the verdict this Sunday evening in the first round of the partial municipal elections in Garches. If the outgoing mayor, a candidate for her own re-election, takes the lead with 35% of the votes cast, she will have only a very slight lead over her main rival Yves Menel (DVD), whom she leads by just 177 votes. and whose list “United for Garsh” received 32% of the vote with 40% abstention.
At the top of the Ensemble Garche list, joined by six opposition elected officials from the Renaissance (ex-LREM), former first deputy Bertrand Oliviero received 16.22% of the votes cast, followed by the list of the Union of the Left. PS/EELV led by Isabelle Le Madec with 12.10% of the votes cast. The head of the RN list, who received 4.83% of the votes, is the only one who could not resist.
