Bolivia and Chile will collide in a few minutes in La Paz for matchday 16 of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers. A victory for one of these teams would mean the elimination of the other, so both will fight with great intensity to win the three points.

In the preview of this match, the former ‘Green’ goalkeeper, José Carlo Fernández, spoke about the chances that his country has to access the next World Cup event. The popular ‘Gato’ knows that the task is complex, however, he considers that his team will fight until the end.

“The game will be difficult for both of them. Chile has been a very irregular team and the last results made it difficult for both teams. In addition, it is very difficult for Bolivia to go to the World Cup. It is true that mathematically there are still possibilities, but the victory of Uruguay (against Paraguay) and the defeat against Venezuela complicated us a lot”, he declared for Radio Agriculture of the southern country.

Fernandez also confessed that the led squad will clash with a team that will be up to the task as its main ally. “It has always been difficult for us to beat Chile, but this time Bolivia only thinks about winning, adding and improving its performance compared to the previous Qualifiers”, he pointed.

In the same way, the exporter left a clear warning: “The Bolivian thought is that we are not going to the World Cup, but neither is Chile”.

How are Chile and Bolivia doing in the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers?

Chile is in seventh place in the table with 16 points, while Bolivia is in eighth place with 15 points. The southern country will face Brazil (visit) and Uruguay (local) in the next double date, while the “Green” will face Colombia in Barranquilla and will close against the “Canarinha” in La Paz.
