Raziel García spoke about the match against Ecuador: “The early goal spoiled the plan we had”

Raziel García formed the starting team in the draw (1-1) of the Peruvian team against Ecuador for the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers. However, the midfielder was replaced at the beginning of the second half by Edison Flores. Despite this, the Deportes Tolima soccer player continues to earn minutes with the squad led by Ricardo Gareca.

After several days of the match, the former Cienciano midfielder revealed that Michael Estrada’s goal in the first few minutes changed several factors. “Against Ecuador it was a complicated match for everyone, the early goal spoiled the plan we had for the match”, he pointed out in an interview for GOLPERÚ.

However, Raziel García mentioned that the team’s dream is intact and they will fight to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. “The group knows what it wants. The companionship and the union are always present”, he added.

It is important to mention that the midfielder has played five games in the Qualifiers and two of those as a starter. Likewise, he also played the Copa América Brasil 2021 in which he played four games and added an assist which was in Gianluca Lapadula’s goal against Colombia for third place.

Raziel García referred to his present at Deportes Tolima

The Peruvian midfielder has played three games with Deportes Tolima, of which two ended in victory. The ‘Pijao’ is in the first position of the BetPlay League with 12 units and García talked about the good moment of his team.

“I have had the good fortune to join a team that has come in handy in recent years and has been correctly reinforced. That’s why we’re at the top of the table.” he pointed.

In the same way, he revealed that it was difficult for him to reject the blue and white club. “It was a difficult decision to say no to Alianza Lima. It is not surprising to say that I am a fan. But it was time to get out, I needed to do it if I wanted to keep growing. It was one of my last options to leave the country”, he added.
