Barra La Blanquirroja ruled on the high price of tickets for Peru vs. Uruguay

A little more than five weeks before the day of the match between Peru and Uruguay, on date 17 of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, El Comercio was able to learn that the tickets for the fans of the red and white team will cost $300, a price clearly higher than that of the last days in which the ‘Celeste’ was local.

Given this, La Blanquirroja, the main member of the Peruvian team for some years, said that they will still accompany the team led by Ricardo Gareca.

“The Peruvians who are traveling, in any case, will do it. From the bars alone we will be about 300, not counting those who travel loose and the many Peruvians who will cross from Argentina”, A source from the organization told this medium.

On the other hand, the source revealed the Peruvian Football Federation does not collaborate financially with La Blanquirroja either in Peruvian lands or abroad.

“The FPF never subsidizes tickets, at least to the bars, neither in Lima nor abroad, in that sense the most it sometimes did was to be an intermediary to buy tickets through them, more than that, nothing”, he counted.

Finally, the person expressed his wish that the Uruguayan Football Association “reconsider that price since it is not yet official.” “If it is not going to touch us, (we will have to) look at the options of going to another area or, finally, buying the $300 one. The outlook is still uncertain”, he sentenced.

The Peruvian team is fifth in the table of the Qualifiers for Qatar 2022, with 21 points, one less than Uruguay, which is in the fourth box, which would give it a direct ticket to the World Cup event.
