Barcelona tied 1-1 against Naples for the first leg of the round of 16 of the Europe League at the Camp Nou stadium. The ‘Blaugranas’ had the clearest chances in the game, however, the lack of efficiency meant that they only scored one goal, which was a penalty.

After the uncomfortable tie, the captain of the Catalans, Gerard Piqué gave statements and stated that they deserved to score more goals. “The feeling is that we could have scored four or five goals. They have come twice and have put one. Good feelings for the game, not for the result”he declared.

“When they start to enter, they will all enter. In some games it is more difficult for us to materialize, but if we have chances they will end up coming in, it is a matter of confidence. We played a great game against a high-level rival. The worst is the result, we would have liked to have higher income”he added.

The defender also spoke about the opponent’s goal. “On the field it is clearly offside because Eric has to cut a pass that goes to someone who is offside. It is a confusing, unclear law. He had to have awarded a penalty ”.

The second leg will be next Thursday, February 24 at the San Paolo stadium.
