Embassy of Peru in Uruguay received fans who complained about the cost of tickets

The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) wishes to have the full support of its fans in the match against Peru, which will be decisive in qualifying for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. However, the ‘Charrúa’ entity will also cede an area for the visiting team, although he set a high price on tickets: a ticket will cost $300.

Due to this, the fans of the Peruvian team raised their voices of protest, since they consider that the established value is not fair. Precisely, a group of fans of “Blanquirroja” decided to raise their claim at the national Embassy located in Uruguay, which is under the command of Marco Vinicio Balarezo.

As reported by the diplomatic institution itself on social networks, the citizen Arlin Alejos Niño, president of the Cultural and Sports Association “Club Te Amo Perú” and of the Official Fan of Peru in Argentina, arrived at the headquarters, along with other supporters of the team by Ricardo Gareca, to express his position against the high cost of seats in the stadium (in addition to the fact that they can only be obtained through agencies or tour operators).

However, despite the complaints of the Peruvian fans, the AUF will not make any changes, after what was reported by Ignacio Alonso, president of the entity. “We are sure that tickets will sell out. We have a demand for 4,000 tickets. There are 500 that the FPF takes and there will be 1500 available to the fans, we fell short in the price we put”, explained the boss.

In the same way, Gastón Tealdi, vice president of the Uruguayan Association, revealed the reason for the established value: “This game is almost a final for both of us, because we are risking our passage to the World Cup. According to our commercial policy, we set the price of the tickets according to supply and demand. It was not an opportunistic act”.

When will Uruguay vs. Peru?

FIFA announced that the Uruguay vs. Peru will be held next Thursday, March 24 in Montevideo, from 6:30 pm (Peruvian time). Currently, the ‘Charrúas’ occupy fourth place in the Qualifiers table, adding 22 points; while the ‘Blanquirroja’ is in the fifth box, with 21 units.
