Juan Toscano Anderson did not win the dunk contest in the NBA All-Star but he won the love of all the Mexican people. Obi Toppin became the third New York Knicks player this Saturday, after Nate Robinson and Kenny Walker, capable of winning the NBA All-Star slam dunk contest, by beating Mexican American Juan Toscano Anderson in the final.

Toppin added 45 and 47 points with his two dunks in the final, while Juan Toscano Anderson, who honored his country by wearing shoes and number with the colors of the Mexican flag, could only get one of his two dunks.

However, he carried the flag of Mexico, his mother’s country, to the finals of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, a historic achievement.

The player born in Oakland is averaging 4.5 points per game with the Warriors in the NBA and his team, second in the West (42-17), is one of the great candidates for the title.
