Solomon’s Message

Manor Solomon is in Poland and took the time to post an extensive message on his social networks, where he recounted the whole experience he lived through, as well as sending a message of support to all Ukrainians.

“First of all, for me it’s going well and now I’m in Poland. My heart goes out to the Israeli and Ukrainian citizens who are still stuck in the country and, of course, to all the members of my group, take care of yourselves. On Thursday morning I woke up to the sound of explosions and alarms, I immediately contacted the group and my friends from Kiev, after realizing that I had to take care of myself and that the group did not have much to do, I decided to leave already At 18:30 the Ukrainian picked me up. a friend’s driver,” Solomon began.

“The road was very long, crazy traffic jams and panic of the people who fled, the highway code was a recommendation and all the gas stations were blown up. After more than 15 hours of hard driving, the driver dropped me near the Polish border in the hope that I could cross (young Ukrainians are not allowed to leave the country). At the border there was great chaos and dozens of thousands of people, women and men with families and crying children, standing with their suitcases in the freezing cold, in great uncertainty. When I saw that the queues were not moving and that I was stuck in place, I realized that they did not owe me anything and I was just waiting for an Israeli rescue vehicle that could save me.”added the Shaktar player.

“After more than 10 hours of queuing with luggage in a crowd of people, the phone arrived that I was waiting for and happy to get into a car that had saved another Israeli family, and together we crossed the border. Thank you very much to everyone who went out of their way to help me, I really appreciate it. My heart goes out to the people who are still there and can’t make it, I wish I could help. I pray that all Israelis, members of my group and citizens in Ukraine can leave the country and I hope that the difficult and complex situation will end soon.” the Israeli footballer finished.
