Roman Abramovich announced that he is leaving the administration of Chelsea FC

The billionaire businessman Roman Abramovich reported this Saturday that he is leaving the administration of Chelsea to those responsible for the club’s charitable foundation. He thus made it known through a statement that was published on the official website of the sports institution.

“During my almost 20 years as owner of Chelsea FC, I have always seen my role as a custodian of the club, whose job it is to ensure we are as successful as possible, as well as building for the future while also playing a positive role in our communities. ”is read in the first part of the text.

Later, the tycoon detailed his departure, however, he did not specify the reasons. “I have always made decisions with the best interest of the club in mind. I remain committed to these values. That is why today I am giving the trustees of the Chelsea Charitable Foundation the stewardship and care of Chelsea FC.”he pointed.

“I think they are currently in the best position to look after the interests of the Club, the players, the coaching staff and the fans”Abramovich added.
