The Chilean team has the firm intention of reaching a quota for the World Cup in Qatar. To achieve this goal, the ‘Red’ will have 27 players, according to the squad list that was released this Monday, less than two weeks before the start of the last double day of the Qualifiers.

On the payroll is striker Ben Brereton, who is recovering from an injury to his left ankle and which is why he has not been able to play in the last four games for Blackburn Rovers. The Anglo-Chilean is one of the attack cards of the team led by Martín Lasarte.

In addition to the presence of Brereton, other novelties are the returns of the experienced 37-year-old player, Luis Jiménez, from Palestino, and Diego Valdés, a midfielder who plays for América de México. In the relationship, Arturo Vidal could not be missing, who missed the previous double date due to a suspension.

“It will not be my last World Cup, I used to think so. I will continue fighting until I give up, until they tell me ‘no, you can no longer be in the national team’”recently declared the ‘King Arthur’, in an interview for TNT Sports Chile.

The Chilean team, sixth in the Qualifiers with 19 points, will collide this Thursday, March 24, with Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. Five days later, the ‘Roja’ will face Uruguay in Santiago de Chile. Both matches are scheduled for 6:30 pm (Peruvian time) and 8:30 pm (Chilean time).
