Franck Kessié will be a new Barcelona player from next season, they indicate in Spain

Barcelona’s first move thinking about the 2022-2023 season. As has happened since Joan Laporta assumed the presidency and Xavi Hernández the technical direction, the objective is to put together a competitive squad for the local and international media. In that sense, the club must soon announce the arrival of Franck Kessié. The midfielder, today in Milan, will join the Camp Nou at zero cost, a common denominator in the institution’s recent signings: Memphis Depay, Eric García, Sergio Agüero, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Luuk de Jong.

According to the newspaper AS and the radio station Cadena Ser, the Catalans managed to convince the midfielder about the sports project that is underway. So, the international with the Ivory Coast team definitely chose not to renew his contract with the ‘Rossoneros’, whose agreement expires on June 30.

Along the same lines, the cited sources provide more details about the operation and affirmed that the agreement between Barcelona and Kessié is not just verbal. In fact, the Ivorian midfielder has already signed a document in which he agrees to wear the Barça uniform for the next four or five seasons.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano, a journalist specialized in the transfer market, contributed that the player received from Barcelona the offer of 6.5 million euros as salary, committing him until 2027. The long duration of the deal would be thinking of the enrichment of the club of the city of Barcelona as an institution.

So far in the 2021-22 season, Milan’s number 79 has added a total of 29 games between Serie A (22), Champions League (five) and Italian Cup (two). The native of Ouragahio has five goals in the domestic competition.

According to Transfermarkt, a German portal specialized in the appraisal of soccer players, Kessié, born on December 19, 1996, is valued at 45 million euros. The talented midfielder previously wore the shirts of Stella Club, Cesena and Atalanta.
