Arturo Vidal is optimistic against Brazil and Uruguay: “A challenge to make history”

Chile will face their last two games against Brazil (on visiting condition) and Uruguayby playoffswith the aim of adding six points and hoping that the Peruvian team adds only one unit, in order to achieve direct qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Shortly after the first game against Brazil at the Maracana, Arturo vidal he was optimistic against the leading team in the Playoffs and with a stat indicating that he never lost at home in the Playoffs.

The Inter Milan midfielder stated: “These are two very tough games. Nice challenge to make history again with the national team. Let’s hope it is like that. We will try to prepare in the best way. Yes, there is enthusiasm to go to the World Cup, that’s why we are here”.

Regarding some conversation with other selected players, after his arrival in Chile, Arturo pointed out that he could only speak with Alexis Sánchez, his teammate at Inter: “Only with Alexis, because we are together. Now arriving, we are going to start talking about the game and what is to come”.

Arturo Vidal could not be in the previous two games, due to a suspension he suffered for a strong tackle against an Ecuadorian player in the match where the Red lost to the Tricolor.

Vidal has played two World Cups with his team, the first in South Africa 2010 and the last in Brazil 2014. For the process to Russia 2018, La Roja was eliminated due to goal difference.
