France beat Italy with the bonus on their debut in the Six Nations Tournament

The French were aiming for nothing more than an improved victory this Sunday against Italy, to launch their Six Nations Tournament. Especially since their English pet peeve, whom they will find on the final day of the competition on April 30, had not made any details on Saturday in Scotland (5-57). Mission accomplished in Grenoble (39-6, five tries to zero).

But after Madoussou Fall (5th), Emeline Gros (26th) and Léa Murie (60th), the Bleues however waited until the 75th minute to register their fourth achievement synonymous with an offensive bonus by Emilie Boulard before Chloé Jacquet (79th) pushed the nail. Faced with the catchy Transalpines, which disturbed the French especially in touch in the first period, the teammates of Gaëlle Hermet did not achieve a great performance.

They will have to show many other things to aim for a first Grand Slam since 2018, and thus best prepare for the World Cup in New Zealand, from October 8 to November 12. Next opponent: Ireland (dominated from the start by Wales at home, 19-27), Saturday in Toulouse.
