Luka Doncić led to Dallas Mavericks versus Cleveland Cavaliers in one more duel of the regular season of the NBA. The Slovenian point guard contributed 35 points in a duel that could be key in his aspirations to finish third in the Western Conference. At the moment, thanks to the loss of the Golden State Warriors against the Phoenix Suns, Jason Kidd’s team equaled the record of those led by Steve Kerr and momentarily occupies third place. After the game, El Comercio spoke with Doncic about the offensive Mavs.

the slovenian Luka Doncićleader of the Dallas Mavericksassured this Wednesday that he has “a lot of confidence ahead of the PlayOffs”, beyond the rival that touches his team, after scoring 35 points, capturing nine rebounds and dishing out thirteen assists in the 120-112 victory at the field of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“This year we are obviously better defensively and I have a lot of confidence ahead of the PlayOffs, regardless of the rival that touches us.”, assured Doncic for the US press.

As he had confessed to El Comercio in a past duel, Luke He again emphasized the objective of his Mavericks: “We want home-court advantage but we’re also thinking about third place.”

On the other hand, Mavericks lives a good present in attack: against the Lakers they distributed 27 assists and against the Cavaliers 28. I consulted Luka Doncić thus: “Many times in many plays they want to double us and we are doing better and better in each game (with the passes). It’s what we have to keep doing every day.”

As it is remembered, if two teams are tied in the table of the NBA, the criterion to tie the tie is the duels between both teams. In case Mavericks and Warriors finish the regular season with the same record, it will be Jason Kidd’s team that finishes above Steve Kerr’s team.

Dallas Mavericks will face the Wizards on April 1, while the Warriors will look to bounce back from four straight losses when they face the Utah Jazz on April 2.
