“Hayya Hayya (Better Together)”: FIFA released the song for the Qatar 2022 World Cup | VIDEO

‘Hayya Hayya (Better Together)’ will be the first song on the Qatar 2022 World Cup soundtrack, released this Friday to coincide with the draw for the groups that will take place in Doha. The American Trinidad Cardona, the Nigerian Davido and the Qatari Aisha are the interpreters of this theme, which will liven up the draw and symbolizes the ability of football to “build bridges in the world”said Kay Madati, director of the Cup’s commercial division.

The theme is the first of several that will be played over the coming months, as the date of the opening match of the tournament, on November 21, 2022, approaches. It is the first time that the soundtrack of the competition is made up of several songs.

“When I first heard the song, I instantly got in a good mood”Cardona commented for the FIFA page. “It’s a celebration, it represents everything the World Cup stands for. People from all over the world coming together, and I love that message.” he added.

Davido shared the same emotion as Trinidad and said: “I have grown up all over the world. And the more I traveled, the more I realized that we are all one, one people, one world. So when this came to me, I jumped on it. Being part of this event that brings the whole world together and being part of this song? ‘We are better together’ went straight to my heart. Beautiful, man, beautiful. How could I say no?

The World Cup ball

The presentation of the Qatar 2022 World Cup song is added to that of Al Rihla, the official ball of the competition that was presented last Wednesday. The ball is inspired by the culture, architecture, iconic vessels and the Qatari flag.

“Football is getting faster and faster, and as the speed increases, precision and stability in the air become extremely important,” said Franziska Löffelmann, director of design, graphics and equipment at Adidas, the manufacturer.

Al Rihla’s first public appearance will see the presence of former players such as Iker Casillas, Kaká, Farah Jefry and Nouf Al Anzi, who will be joined by a diverse group of young talents, including some promising female footballers from Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, as well as new generations of players from the Aspire Academy in Doha.
