Olympic Marseille stayed with the victory (2-1) in the first leg match against Paok Thessaloniki of Greece for the Conference League. The match had a tight score on a night that will be remembered with the great goal of French striker Dimitri Payet, who finished off the corner from outside the area.

Marseille will go to Greece with a one-goal lead, but with the absence of Gerson Santos da Silva, who was shown a red card in stoppage time. Gerson had advanced for the French and the discount was scored by Omar el Kaddouri.

The second leg will be played on April 14. The Conference League is the tournament played by the teams that could not qualify for the Champions League or the Europa League.

For the local tournament, Monaco beat Marseille 1-0, in matchday 27, with which the team of Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli lost second place, to the benefit of Nice, who had beaten the leader Paris on Saturday Saint-Germain 1-0.
