César Vallejo beat Sporting Cristal 2-0, despite playing the entire second half with 9 men due to the expulsions of Yorleys Mena and Renzo Garcés. In this regard, the technical director of the sky blue team, Roberto Mosquera, expressed self-criticism for the defeat of his team that attacked in the complementary stage, but did not score a goal.

“We didn’t take advantage of the rival’s mistake. He did not earn the responsibility. He overwhelmed us with anxiety and we couldn’t solve it. In situations like this, it’s also my fault. I think that eleven against eleven we played better”said the national strategist during a press conference.

In the same way, he indicated that he will speak with his leaders. “It’s not the worst thing that’s happened to me, but it’s uncomfortable. The championship continues and tomorrow (Saturday) we will talk extensively about what has happened. We put too much adrenaline into it. An unusual game”he mentioned.

“At the beginning of the year we said that the squad was short and in fact that is also why the inclusion of Jesús Castillo in defense. There was no budget for a larger campus.”he added.

On the other hand, the coach of the Rímac cast highlighted the performance of César Vallejo’s goalkeeper who showed off with great saves such as, for example, a header from Christofer Gonzáles. “We must give value to the work of Carlos Grados and I take the opportunity to congratulate him”added Roberto Mosquera.

Sporting Cristal must focus on the Copa Libertadores

The light blue box should turn the page since it will face the Catholic University of Chile on Tuesday, April 12 as a visit condition for the Copa Libertadores. The sky blue cast lost (2-0) against Flamengo for the first date and now, they will look for their first three points.
