A complicated moment for one of the legends of Colombian soccer. Freddy Rincón suffered a serious car accident on the streets of Cali early Monday morning and his condition is critical. His relatives upon hearing the news had various reactions, especially his two sons, Freddy Stiven and Sebastián Rincón.

In statements to Antena 2, Hamilton Ricard referred to the communication he had with Freddy Stiven, Rincón’s son who, due to an accident, was unable to continue his football career.

“The family is very beaten. There’s the son. He doesn’t want to see him, he doesn’t want to go in, he doesn’t want to hear news, he says that he is not able to talk to any doctor”, Richard confessed.

“Freddy lived with his two children. With Sebastian and with Freddy Steven. He is the one who cooks for them. He makes them their shrimp and fish because he cooks well. They are used to dad making them breakfast, lunch, dinner. Those bald guys are very close to their dad.” added the former Colombian soccer player.

Sebastián Rincón, who is a professional soccer player, is in Argentina and used his social networks to express his feelings: “Sign up old man. All faith. I love you, stand firm.”

How did the accident originate?

Freddy Rincón was involved in a collision between his truck and a public service bus on Calle Quinta with Carrera 34 in the city of Cali. The vehicle in which the ex-soccer player of the Colombian national team was traveling was hit by a bus. They report that five other people were also injured in the crash.

The 55-year-old former player is currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Imbanaco Clinic and will undergo surgery in the next few hours for severe head trauma.
