Peruvian national team: Edison Flores highlighted the qualities of Australia and the United Arab Emirates

The Peruvian team will have to face the winner of the key between Australia vs. United Arab Emirates in the playoff for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. In this regard, Ricardo Gareca’s leaders are already psyched up in that duel and one of them is Edison Flores who highlighted the qualities of his possible rivals.

The ‘Ears’ was consulted about the expectations of the Asian teams, since one of them will be the contender to win for the World Cup quota. “We have already played with Australia, it is a very dynamic and physical team. They have good players and it’s a very tough game if we play against them. Emirates, too”, he told ESPN.

“The thing is not easy. They are important rivals who also have the same illusion as us: to be in the World Cup“, he pointed. If they get the long-awaited pass to Qatar 2022, Peru will enter Group D where they will again face France and Denmark, as they did in Russia 2018, as well as Tunisia.

Although at the beginning of the Qualifiers he did not have the presence that he did show in the previous qualifiers, he came to show that he is still a key element for Ricardo Gareca. “It was difficult, I had difficult times and obviously a player does not like to be away for a long time. I worked to get to the matches (Qualifiers) well and feel important in the National Team, which I had lost”, he stated.
