The NBA today unveiled a revamped logo for the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, bringing back the iconic typeface used in the 1986-95 and 2004-17 logo variations. As you remember, the league decided to change the logo in recent years, causing negative comments on social networks. The announcement has been celebrated by the fans, who hope that their teams manage to reach said instance in June.
The modernized logo incorporates the fan-favorite typeface along with the Larry O’Brien trophy to honor the league’s 75-year history and look to the future.
The identity also includes an updated black and gold color palette to complement the trophy and celebrate the apex of the NBA season.
