LA Galaxy DT responds to Martino and assures that ‘Chicharito’ wants to be in Mexico: “I know that Javier has that desire”

Gerardo Martínez’s process in the Mexican team, among so many moments, will be marked by crossing out the well-known ‘sacred cows’. Javier Hernández appears in that group of footballers, who last wore the team’s shirt in September 2019. Since then, the striker and the specialized press have called for his return to the national team. However, a few days ago, the DT closed the doors to him.

Without a doubt, ‘Tata’ Martino’s decision has hit ‘Chicharito’ Hernández hard, who has Los Angeles Galaxy coach Gregg Vanney as support. In fact, the strategist of the Major League Soccer club revealed the sensations of the Chivas de Guadalajara youth squad and his desire to put on the “Tri” jacket.

“These are decisions that depend on the federation. They have to choose because they will be responsible for the results. What he has (coach Gerardo Martino) is an opportunity, he has a fit striker. He will decide if it is a good opportunity. I know that Javier has that desire”revealed at a press conference.

Vanney knows that he can do little to change the situation of ‘Chicharito’ Hernández, but I do not hesitate to highlight the good form of the Aztec. “They have to choose the players, because they are responsible. I don’t have an opinion on that. My opinion is that he is fit and would love the opportunity to play for Mexico.”Held.

What did ‘Tata’ Martino say about ‘Chicharito’ Hernández?

The Argentine coach participated in a conference to announce the plan with a view to participating in the Qatar 2022 World Cup. When answering questions from the media, the coach was blunt in resolving the doubt about the case of the former Manchester United.

“Javier Hernández is not here because the coach on duty has not chosen him in the last three years”, started the ‘Tata’. And he added: “There is nothing that I have to share with the media. Everything that happens within the national team is resolved within the national team.”sentenced the ‘Tricolor’ strategist.

‘Chicharito’ in the selection

Javier Hernández is the top scorer in the history of the Mexican team. The centre-forward scored a total of 52 goals with the national shirt. With the ‘Tri’ he was between three World Cups (2010, 2014 and 2018). In his time representing his country, ‘Chicharito’ won the 2011 Gold Cup and the 2015 Concacaf Cup.
