Just two weeks ago, the remembered referee from Peru-Brazil was disqualified from whistling by decision of Javier Castrilli, former president of the Referees Commission of the National Association of Professional Soccer of Chile (ANFP). However, the Argentine was dismissed and everything changed radically.

Castrilli was relieved at the request of the Referees Union, which threatened to paralyze the Chilean championship. Given this, the ANFP restored Bascuñán and gave him the responsibility of commanding the classic.
