Neymar jokes with the whistle: “I’m staying for three more years, let them stop or they should take more air”

PSG has been characterized by its large investments over the years, but the main mission of winning the Champions League has not been fulfilled. In this season, the club showed a collective deficit, despite the expectation generated by the trident made up of Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi, and the fans have protested with whistles in the last games of the campaign still in dispute.

This Saturday, the fans protested again, regardless of the fact that the Parisian institution had secured the Ligue 1 title in advance. After the meeting, ‘Ney’ was asked about the crisis in his relationship with the fans and decided to joke about it.

“I still have a contract with Paris Saint-Germain, which is for three more years. I’m here, with the beeps and whistles that they send against us”, were the first words of the Brazilian in an interview for ESPN, confirming that his presence in the sports entity is a fact.

“I’m staying for three years, so stop or you’ll have to get some more air.”, added Neymar, showing that he took the subject with grace, since he let out a few laughs. After declaring, with the Parc des Princes stadium almost empty, the attacker went to the dressing room to celebrate with his teammates.

Let us remember that throughout the 2021-22 season in Ligue 1, ‘Ney’ was one of PSG’s most relevant footballers: he played 19 games, always as a starter, scored 11 goals and provided five assists. However, the Brazilian’s figures were far from Kylian Mbappé, his partner: the Frenchman scored 22 times and enabled his teammates 14 times, throughout 31 matches played.
