Barristas from Eintracht and Rangers had a great confrontation before the start of the match | VIDEO

The Europa League final is played this Wednesday, with Eintracht Frankfurt from Germany and Rangers from Scotland as protagonists. The clash generates great expectations among the fans, but not everything has been a party: there was a strong confrontation between barristas in the streets near the Sánchez Pizjuán stadium in Seville.

At the beginning of the San Bernardo bridge, which gives access to Eduardo Dato avenue, German fans attacked the Scots who were in the bars in the area, drinking their umpteenth beers before leaving for the sports venue, about two kilometers of distance.

A very similar situation has occurred at the beginning of Luis Montoto avenue, parallel to Eduardo Dato avenue and at the beginning of which, in the so-called Puerta de Carmona, Frankfurt fans have attacked the Scots, according to police sources and EFE was able to verify .

It was 6:30 p.m. (in Spain), half past two before the start of the game, when at least five vans from the National Police arrived in the area to neutralize the disturbances without, so far, revealing whether there have been injuries or there have been arrests.

The National Police have already arrested five fans of the German Eintracht Frankfurt for rioting and assaulting fans of the Scottish Glasgow Rangers in a massive fight that took place at midnight this Tuesday in front of Seville Cathedral.

More from the Europa League final

The Germans arrive with their morale through the roof after being the executioner of Barcelona in the quarterfinals when the Barça club seemed to have become favorites to take the only trophy that is missing from their windows. Eintracht did not go beyond the 1-1 draw at home, but in the return leg they won 2-3 at a Camp Nou taken over by some 20,000 German fans, to the surprise of the Barça team.

Internationally, Eintracht Frankfurt have not lifted a European trophy since the 1980 UEFA Cup they won against Borussia Mönchengladbach, while the Scots only have the 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup on their continental record.

For its part, Rangers is the highest scoring team in the Europa League (32 goals, two more than its rival). However, in Seville he will not be able to count on his top scorer, the Colombian Alfredo Morelos, who has been out since last April, although the Jamaican attacker Kemar Roofe will be there, recovered from his knee problems.
