André Carrillo makes the Peruvian national team happy: he returned to training with Al-Hilal

Coach Ricardo Gareca announced the list of summoned in the Peruvian team for the playoff to the Qatar 2022 World Cup, against the winner of Australia vs. Arab Emirates. The payroll included attacker André Carrillo, who has been injured for a few months, but everything indicates that he may be available to play with the ‘Blanquirroja’.

This Wednesday, the Saudi Arabia team published images of the squad’s training, thinking about the game against Abha this Sunday and you can see the “Culebra” doing work with the ball. Good news for the ‘Tiger’ and his technical team who hope to have him.

Carrillo became one of the most important players for the Peruvian team during the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, scoring three goals in 14 games. He is the undisputed starter for the Argentine coach, as long as he is in good physical condition.

We believe it will come. We want to include it on the list because the evolution has been very favorable and we do not want to leave it out of this possibility. According to the medical and physical report that we are having, we believe that André has great chances of being active”, Ricardo Gareca had anticipated at a press conference last Friday.

Carrillo is expected to add minutes in this weekend’s match before joining the Peruvian national team to prepare for the game that could give the team a pass to its second World Cup in a row.

Peru will travel to Barcelona to face New Zealand on Sunday, June 5, in a friendly match and will be ready to face Australia or the United Arab Emirates for the ticket to Qatar 2022 (Monday, June 13).

Since when has André Carrillo not played?

Let us remember that André Carrillo was diagnosed with a sprain in the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee, which happened during the match against Uruguay (March 24), on the penultimate date of the Qualifiers. From that moment, the talented attacker could not return to the pitch.
