Carlo Ancelotti: “Worry is fought with the desire of the players”

The Champions League final starring Real Madrid and Liverpool already has the world’s attention. On the eve of the defining match, the coach of the Merengues, Carlo Ancelotti, was optimistic about the possibilities of his team, stating that the desire of his pupils gives him “much trust”.

“I really enjoy this year, I really enjoy the period that I am living in this club with these players, and I continue to enjoy it, I know that tomorrow afternoon there will be a bit of concern, but the concern is combated with the desire of the players, who they give confidence”, declared the Italian coach at a massive press conference at the Stade de France, the scene of the final, in which he was accompanied by the Brazilian side Marcelo and the Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

‘Carletto’, who confessed that he does have the starting eleven decided, although he has not told his players, outlined where the key to victory will be: “We have to propose a game in which we have to show our qualities, we have shown during the season that the team has had a great commitment, individual quality, players who have entered have shown their faces. Liverpool is going to plan an intense match with a lot of verticality. Whoever is able to show their qualities the most will win the match.”.

The veteran coach, who is looking for his second Champions League with the white team, highlighted the commitment of the group to reach this stage.

“We deserved to reach the final for everything said before: the technical quality, the talent… The team has been committed. The history of this club has pushed us in times of difficulty. We deserved to reach the final, if we deserve to win it we will have to prove it tomorrow”he expressed.
