Ralf Rangnick definitely leaves Manchester United: he will not fulfill the position of advisor

Manchester United’s 2021-22 season was not very regular and not even the presence of coach Ralf Rangnick on the bench could change the level of football. Due to the unsatisfactory results, the club’s board decided to place the German as an advisor and appoint Erik ten Hag as the new manager.

According to the document issued by United, Rangnick publicly informed that he would not perfectly fulfill his responsibilities as the new coach of the Austrian national team and as a consultant at the club, for which he prioritized his first position. From Manchester they made the decision in a positive way and sent a recognition to the German strategist.

“We would like to thank Ralf Rangnick for his efforts as caretaker manager over the last six months. By mutual agreement, Ralf will now focus solely on his new role as manager of the Austrian national team and will therefore not take on a consulting role at Old Trafford.
