The Argentine national team celebrated in the Wembley locker room after beating Italy

The Argentine team won the Finalissima after beating Italy (3-0) at Wembley in a duel between Conmebol and UEFAA champions. In this way, the squad led by Lionel Scaloni began its preparation for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

After celebrating on the field to the applause of their fans, the ‘Albiceleste’ players continued the celebrations in the locker room. The video published by TyC Sports shows Lautaro Martínez and Paulo Dybala, who scored in the win, jumping in the middle of the chants, while their teammates laughed.

Amid the hubbub, the footballers brought out the 2021 Copa América trophy and placed it next to the new title. Later, they continued with the celebrations and now, they aim to win the most important championship at the national team level.

“To fight for the World Cup”, “This is not over yet”, “There is one more step to touch the glory” or “The next stop is Qatar”, were some of the reactions of the Argentine fans.

Scaloni after Argentina’s victory: “The important thing now is to think that everything is not done”

Regarding the victory, Scaloni maintained that they had no doubts about the “team’s functioning”. “You have to know that this is football and that at some point it can go wrong. The important thing now is to think that everything is not done, this is the way to go. There is too much enthusiasm, because in football when you think everything is done they take you down with a stroke of the pen, this team is going to compete with anyone until the end”.

The Argentine coach thanked the fans for their support. “What counts is also the sacrifice and fighting spirit of this group of players. I don’t know if the second half was the best of this cycle, because we are growing step by step. What I want is for the squad to be like this every time we get together”.
